Our desire is to follow God in building better lives, better families, a better Brampton and beyond! We do this by enabling people to grow in the way of Jesus and to then follow God out into the community. Following God is a lifelong journey and NBUC is here to help you and to join you on that journey.

Imagine God building better lives, better families, a better Brampton and beyond…we do!
At NBUC our purpose is to enable everyday people to grow in the way of Jesus and follow the living God out into the community by the power of the Holy Spirit.
God showed up in Jesus, who has given us His Spirit to continue His mission in this world. In Jesus we have a concrete look at who God is and how we can live as people trying to follow Him today. This is foundational to who we strive to be at NBUC.
Jesus came with good news for ALL people. God’s love is wide and deep, with room for all people regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, socio-economic status, sexual or romantic orientation and those whom society might isolate. We strive to reflect the radical love of God!
Mirroring Jesus’ heart for justice, we partner with neighbourhood centres that support the community; offer in person & online worship services; foster Christian discipleship and support neighbours through our food cupboard; we seek reconciliation with BIPOC, taking an active stand against homophobia, racism, & Islamophobia.
We believe that God loves us, always and forever! Jesus’ unconditional love sustains us through all times and helps to foster peace and unity. As we receive this love we become empowered to love others.
We believe that Jesus is the greatest expression of God that we can find. In His life, death and resurrection we experience the core of the Christian life and that is where we find our greatest hope. We believe that Jesus can transform bring great personal and social transformation and He invites us to join Him in that process.
We believe in the gift of the Holy Spirit as one of the most powerful promises & realities of Christian life. It brings healing, confidence, strength, guidance & deep peace. As we grow in life with Jesus we know that we are not alone because of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is inspired by God & God speaks through it. Its writings are comprised of different genres from a number of authors. An ancient canon of stories, poetry, and anecdotes, it’s helpful to take into account the historical and contextual realities with which it was written. Scripture is powerful!
When a community of faith is at its best, there is a sense of unity, growth and transformation. We see lives changed for the better, and positive impacts on our world. The church indeed becomes the hope of the world.
We believe everyone’s been given spiritual gifts & is invited to participate in what God’s doing in the world. This is the great invitation, adventure & miracle - God working in & through us as we partner with Jesus to bring healing to this broken world by power of the Holy Spirit.
NBUC is proud to be an Affirming Church!
We believe God has made us, and gifted us, an incredibly diverse people, with a range of gender, gender identity, race, age, and different abilities, family configurations, socio-economic circumstances, and faith.
Jesus knew no boundaries, reaching out to all people, affirming and honouring all in their uniqueness. We believe therefore we are called to be participants in God’s ministry, guided by the Holy Spirit, in order to affirm all peoples in all aspects of the life and work of our church.
We celebrate the richness this brings to our church, even as it challenges us to grow, and go with Christ down roads we have not yet traveled.
