Zoom Church Connect with others and grow closer to God in the process - zoom church! SIgn up now!

We believe the best response to Christ's sacrifice is to better the lives of those around us!

Outreach is a huge part of who we are as a church community and who we believe God has called us to be. It is a way to demonstrate the love we experience on Good Friday to those in our communities! Good Friday Outreach is an initiative NBUC has done for many years following our Good Friday Service and we are so glad it can continue this year amidst COVID-19. We hope you will join us and DO SOMETHING to share God’s love with those in your community this Good Friday, April 2!

Oh, and when you do - make sure to share it on social media with #GoodFridayOutreach and tag us @nbucchurch

What can I do?

This pandemic has taken a toll on all of us and we hope this initiative will be a blessing to you and your family as you are helping those less fortunate.

Option 1 - Neighbourhood Food Drive: Deliver the attached flyer to your neighbours 4-5 day prior to collecting the non perishable food items on Good Friday. Once you have all your donations, bring them to the church between 2 pm & 4 pm to support the Food Cupboard. We recommend planning a total of 3 hours for this outreach : 30 minutes to prepare the flyer; 30 minutes to deliver the flyers; 90 minutes to pick up the donations of food; 30 minutes to drop off the food at the NBUC food cupboard or Regen Food Cupboard.

Included is a PDF of the flyer you can format for your family. It is best when printed on colour paper. We hope this resource helps to make the Food Drive even easier for your family! Click here for a sample PDF! OR click here for a word document!

Option 2 - Food Cupboard: Purchase items yourself for the food cupboard and drop off at the church between 2 & 4pm

Head to your local park, sidewalk or green space to collect garbage and contribute to creating healthy vibrant spaces in your community. Please wear gloves and be sure to keep 2m distance from those not in your household. If you need supplies or would like to have the City of Brampton pick up the waste, contact Blake Broker : dr.blake@rogers.com

Make a phone call to a friend or family friend who needs community or some encouragement.

Pay for the person behind you in the drive through at Tim Hortons or Starbucks or buy a coffee for a neighbour
