Growing Our Ministry in Brampton

Financing the Congregation's Mission

North Bramalea finances its annual operating budget out of the givings of the people who make up the congregation. We believe in the "discipleship of giving" as a way of following Christ. As we sometimes say, "Mission costs. Good mission costs more!"

A small brochure gives an overview of how the church pays its way and how you can be part of that. Please click here to download this brochure (in PDF format).

The building project costs much more than anyone can pay for out of our weekly offerings. We have 3 sources of funds for this project:

  1. Savings
  2. Commitments made by the people of the church in our first capital campaign.
  3. Borrowing from financial institutions within The United Church of Canada.

North Bramalea's capital campaign raised $900,000 in commitments, as well as c. $200,000 in over-and-above donations. If you did not get a chance to participate and would like to, contact Fred Bertolini (via the office). Please take a look at our vision booklet by clicking here.

A part of our financial plan also involves "faith bonds". These are loans that we as part of the church make to ourselves. They offer a good return to the individual lending funds and they help us avoid going to commercial--and very expensive--commercial banks. If you're interested in buying a faith bond, download the .pdf below and talk to George Watson (contact via the office) at the church.
